My favourite season is here

With every season, our pubs seem to change a little.

Summer brings garden spritzers and sharing boards in the sunshine. Winter has its own magic too: crisp days, a proper warming dish and a mulled wine by the fire.

But if you ask me, autumn is hard to beat.

There’s still a bit of warmth in the day when the sun comes out, alongside those crisp mornings, brilliant seasonal produce, a banging Sunday lunch, the first fires being lit, a midweek quiz and a few Hooky ales. What’s not to love?

It’s also a great time to get away for a night or two. As the evenings draw in, there’s something pretty lovely about heading to the pub, having a good dinner, a few drinks and knowing you haven’t got to go anywhere afterwards. Our autumn stay offer is great value if you fancy doing just that.

Our pubs have something different to offer all year round, but I do love this bit of the year as autumn starts edging towards Christmas. The fires are on, the food changes, familiar faces are back through the door and there’s that feeling that the next season is just around the corner.
