A few days in Tenby and a busy summer ahead…

It’s been months since I managed to find a small break in the diary, but this week we finally escaped for a couple of nights in Tenby, Pembrokeshire.

It’s somewhere we’d never visited before and, wow, what a beautiful place.

Stunning beaches, some brilliant pubs and restaurants, and plenty of fantastic British seafood.Got some great inspiration for our pubs too!

Honestly, is there anywhere better than the UK coastline, especially when the weather is this glorious?

Cornwall has always been a favourite of mine, and I’ve got a real soft spot for South Devon and Wells-next-the-Sea, but Tenby is right up there now. We’ll definitely be going back.

As we head into another very busy weekend for our pubs and events teams, the school holidays are nearly upon us. Like many of you, I’m sure we’ll all be juggling holiday clubs, workloads and family life, while hopefully finding a bit of time to enjoy the summer. Our pubs are a great respite or a great family venue, so make sure you pop in this July!

There won’t be any wild England celebrations this weekend after Wednesday’s result, but sometimes you learn more from losing than you do from winning. Although I’m sure we’d all have preferred the win.
