A little behind the scenes at Freespirit

Hi everyone,

Hospitality never sleeps, and this week has been a brilliant reminder of exactly that.

Behind the scenes, our teams have been tasting, testing and experimenting with Negronis ahead of Negroni Week next week. There has been plenty of debate, a few strong opinions and, most importantly, some very good drinks being perfected. We cannot wait to share them with you!

While that has been going on, we have also been looking further ahead. Our 2027 vision is taking shape, winter menus are in their final planning stages, and there is lots happening across the group, from weddings at the Castle to exciting plans continuing at the George.

It is a busy old world, hospitality. From breakfast and lunch through to late-night drinks, overnight stays, weddings, events and everything in between, there is always something being created, improved or planned. And it is our brilliant people who make that happen.

A small note for this Sunday: all of our pubs will be closing a little earlier than usual as we bring our teams together for an end-of-summer get-together. It is a chance for us to say a proper thank you after a busy season, and we really appreciate your understanding.
