A look back on a busy Summer

Hi everyone,

As summer starts to draw to a close, I have been thinking back over what has been a pretty incredible few months for Freespirit.

It has been busy, exciting and full of change. We have welcomed some brilliant new people into the business, bringing fresh ideas and energy with them, while also saying goodbye to some amazing team members who have played a huge part in our journey. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has given their time, care and hard work to Freespirit.

Our events team has had a fantastic summer too, heading out on the road for more than 50 weddings, parties and special occasions. From cinema experiences and car launches to celebrations of life, family occasions and some truly memorable weddings, it is always a privilege to be trusted with moments that mean so much to people.

Across the pubs, we have continued to grow too. More of you are coming through our doors, staying the night, joining us for dinner, meeting friends for a pint and choosing our pubs for your celebrations. That support means a great deal to me, and it is something I never want us to take for granted.

For me, Freespirit has always come down to the people. The people who work here, the people who visit us and the many characters I have met along the way. I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside a team that cares so much about what we do and constantly pushes to make every pub, stay and event that little bit better.

And now we have my favourite season just around the corner. I love autumn in a pub. Crisp walks, darker evenings, roaring fires, seasonal food and that first proper pint by the fire. There is a lot to look forward to over the next few months, and I cannot wait to share it with you.
