Freespirit Pubs

Christmas is coming!

26/09/2025

I can’t quite believe I’m saying this, but Christmas is fast approaching and if you’re starting to think about booking in some of your favourite festive social gatherings, we know just the place and you’re more than welcome. Whether you’re rounding up the gang for a pre-Christmas catch up, treating the family to a festive get-together, or simply fancy a cosy December supper with a glass in hand, there is a Freespirit site for you.

Escape to The George Inn, nestled in the picturesque Cotswold village of Brailes. Think characterful English pub, cosy fireplace and country-side calm just a stone’s throw away from Shipston-upon-stour. Or head to The Olde Coach House Inn, situated in the chocolate box village of Ashby Saint Ledgers. This place is perfect for history lovers, with the village of Ashby being the very location where Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators planned the gun powder plot.

If you’re looking for something with more of a ‘party’ scene, The House in Leamington Spa is the perfect place for a works Christmas bash. Situated on the parade in the centre of this quaint spa town, The House has the perfect loft space for work Christmas parties or family get togethers.

If a romantic December staycation is what you’re after, then The Bell Inn at Ladbroke could be just the ticket. With seven idyllic Shepherds’ huts to choose from, this could be the pub to opt for if you’re looking to snuggle in with a morning coffee.

The Red Lion feels like a proper countryside escape, tucked away in the beautiful Northamptonshire village of Hellidon. If enjoying some crisp December walks is on your list this year (as well as some tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities) then this is undoubtedly your place!

Lastly, we can’t forget The Castle at Edgehill and The Sun Inn at Hook Norton. Both situated on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, both these sites have plenty to offer this Christmas. The village of Hook Norton is a quaint village, only a small leap from the town of Chipping Norton. The Castle at Edgehill is another one for those history lovers out there, overlooking the battlefield of the battle of Edgehill.

Whatever your reason, or even if you have no reason at all, we can’t wait to welcome you over the festive period. All festive menus are available on individual pub websites.

Big Love
