Hope you’re having a cracking week and that the Christmas chaos is (mostly) under control. Present wrapping, shopping lists, life admin — it’s always a bit of a juggling act this time of year, isn’t it?

If you can, get yourself down to your favourite local this weekend, pull up a chair, and breathe for a bit. We love being the place you come for special occasions, spontaneous drop-ins, and those much-needed visits that turn into long chats.

Last night was a special one for me — I got to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday at The Bell. It was a real joy to be a guest in one of our pubs and mark such a big moment with family. The team smashed it, the food was spot on, and there’s nothing better than hearty plates shared around a table with the people you love.

Whatever your weekend looks like — full-on family time, catching up with friends, or a bit of peaceful alone time — I hope it’s a good one.
