Wimbledon, World Cup woes, and New Summer Menus

Hey everyone,

So, Wimbledon has started. Has it grabbed your attention yet? I’ll be honest, I’m more of a “watch the final with a Pimm’s” kind of person, but there’s something about that first week that always feels like summer has properly arrived.

Then there’s the football. Did you watch it? Why do England always make it so hard for themselves? Every single tournament it’s the same. We could just win comfortably, but no, that would be far too easy. Still, we’re through, and that’s all that matters.

Unfortunately, with the next match kicking off at 1am on Monday, the pubs won’t be open for this one. Set your alarms, brew a coffee, and let’s hope we don’t end up watching penalties at 3am. Fingers crossed we’re celebrating a place in the last eight by breakfast!

Right, onto the important stuff. Our brand new summer menus launch across all of our country pubs on 9th July. Yes, every single one. On the same day. We must be completely mad, but there’s no turning back now.

The chefs have been hard at work creating dishes that make the most of the season, and I genuinely can’t wait for you to try them.

Whether you’re joining us for lunch in the garden, a family dinner or a catch-up over a pint, there’s plenty to look forward to.
